Soft Romantic Color Palette-Between the linens, florals & simple touches in between creamy whites & soft blushes along with organic greens & beige, paint the picture for this winery inspired wedding.

Gorgeous Florals-The selection of flowers used for this shoot is spot on.  We love how the multiple petal layers of ranunculus lend itself to the table design of multiple linen layers on the outdoor table, while hyacinth, wax flower & tulips compliment the delicate feel of the subtle laces touches.  Inside, strong earthy tones in the likes of greens via artichoke heads & pops of yellow via Billy Balls, really connect with the reclaimed wood items used to furnish the Big Red Barn.

Textures!-Our style team was not afraid to mix textures which resulted in a feminine feel that has its feet firmly planted on the ground!  Elements of lace & pearl, in both the decor as well as the hand made wedding dress fashioned by The Wedding Shoppe specifically for this shoot lend to a light air, its the burlap, reclaimed wood & old ceramic basins that give the much needed, more masculine elements, to help balance the overall design.  As well the smooth sleek texture of the glass dome covering the cupcakes, while creating its own special world, provides a flow to the overall table aesthetic

Allow me to give your mind a bit of mental stretching for a moment.  Roughly 2 months ago I featured a super sweet young Asian couple who’s engagement session was in the eerily wonderful El Dorado Mine & Ghost Town.  The ideas & attention to detail made me eager with anticipation for their wedding, I mean why not!  When your couple is willing to sit square in the middle of the road, fist full of balloons, for one hell of a shot, your hopes get pretty high for their wedding day you know what I mean?!

Nicole Sibulo & Neal Gregorio finally did tie the knot just recently, marrying in a Spanish mission inspired church on a gorgeous Las Vegas day.  The bridesmaids were dressed in light pink flowing Greecianesque dresses, while the bride herself wore a perfectly fitted sweetheart neckline corset top gown with ruched bottom.  Manolo Blahnik’s firmly placed on her feet, Nicole was off to enjoy her dream day.   Gorgeous florals dressed the affair in the softest of pinks with pops of just the right accent colors.  Ever one for small fun details, N&N’s (thats right, N&N’s!) were outfitted in their very own mason jars as gifts for the guests.  Nicole & Neal’s wedding day was perfectly luxurious with just the right amount of down to earth.

I love flowers.  I love looking at them, planting them, having them in my house, you name it.  I could easily look through floral photography for hours.  I’ll totally out myself, I’ve been known to sit at my Grandmother-In-Laws house and leaf through her bulb catalogs, I’m not kidding either.

So lets get to the goods right?  Today I want to feature a lovely bouquet that showcases soft creams while incorporating deep purples.

The wonderful flowers that make up this bouquet are  garden roses, ranunculus, parrot tulips, cobra lilies, fiddlehead ferns and callas.  The flowers are then wrapped up in layers of silk, raffia, twill and burlap ribbons allowing for long wind swept pieces to flow from the bouquet itself.  This bouquet was created by Soiree Floral via Well Wed.

While the overall look of the arrangement itself has a feel of wonder & enchantment, what I really appreciate here is how well the element of color is handled.  Brides often trap themselves into think, Ok I’m having an X color wedding, EVERYTHING needs to drip that color.  Sometimes that works, often, its too much.  I appreciate the ability here to give voice to the wedding color palette without being incredibly in your face.  The mix of the deep purples callas & fern heads, which give depth & height, are then blended with the cobra lilies to create perfection.  The soft creams are used to defuse the deep strong colors & give life and movement to the overall look and feel.

Remember my brides to be, even if your having a one color wedding, there are ways to incorporate that color without going over the top unintentionally.  Once you’ve selected a florist who’s work you like & appreciate, trust in their commentary & expertise!
