Ethereal beauty can come in a multitude of forms at any given time.  One constant however,  always remains throughout, that of the feeling that it evokes of beholding celestial beauty.  California photographer  [a.w. photography] is one of my favorites and has a true gift when it comes to bending light to her will.  One the hunt for a set that was less conventional then most, the idea of a bathtub boudoir came to mind.  Donning a free flowing dress from Free People, our heavenly model dipped down into the waters, surrounded by blooms in hues of pink & red.  Hair & makeup were given just the right amount of pop to craft our gal into soft feminine beauty while her body contorted into ballerina like poses around the curvature of the tub.  The end result is a beautifully captivating boudoir that borders well more on art then anything else.  The photos are equal parts mystifying & enchanting and never once do I feel the strain of getting oneself into such wonderful positioning in such a tight space!

I’ll be honest, I have quite the fascination with boudoir photography.  Whether I am featuring great sessions here on site or always adding to my boudoir board on Pinterest, I am constantly captivated by the beauty of not only the subjects, but the artful manner in which they are captured.  Today’s boudoir session from the amazing Serena Star Photography, set at times in the great outdoors, brings about a very primal, very carnal {albeit super sexy} feeling to me.  Our gal is stunning, lets just get that out of the way right from the start, but what really grabs you is how well she appears to know herself & how very confident in that she is!  There is no hesitation or trepidation in her face & body positioning.   I find that this is often the difference maker between a perfectly nice boudoir & the kind that creates a visceral reaction upon viewing it.  There is a strong earthy hipster goddess vibe to the shoot, one that I simply can not get enough of.   Serena Star’s artful eye & superb lighting crafted a world where only the beautiful live.  I’d be remiss if I didnt point out that my most favorite shot of all was the one I naturally saved for last.  Much like the entire shoot, it is perfectly D.I.V.I.N.E!

I adore this ultra feminine boudoir session for a few stellar reasons!  Firstly there is something so very wonderful about this session that will resonate with a lot of women, ‘I want to do a boudoir session, but I dont want to come off ______’{insert the various reasons a lot of women are scared to do boudoir!}  This sweetly styled session is the perfect example of a way that you can do boudoir, in a lighter way.  Not all boudoir needs to be screaming lacey thin, slinky lingerie.  There are some truly gorgeous alternatives out there, and as I have said before, boudoir is more of a mind set anyway.  I mean look how lovely our girl is and the sexiness all comes from her body positioning, her eyes, not what she is wearing.  The hair & makeup are truly divine here and what I imagine her to look like in real life, on a dolled up day.  The goal here wasnt to transport our lovely lady into some other being, but to truly enhance her beauty & sexiness that was always there.  Let this session encourage all you ladies out there that think boudoir can’t be done by you!

When a gal is willing to highlight one of her best assets, the sexy factor goes through the roof!  In this simple yet totally steamy boudoir session, shoot in the private studio of Bluegrass Boudoir, it’s easy to see what element is the main attraction here!  Confidence however, is the most powerful element to this lovely session and speaks volumes. Whether a shoot like this is just for yourself or to surprise the object of your effection it is certainly obey to treasure!

Most guys will tell you that in truth, there is nothing more sexy then watching the woman they love, while getting ready for a night out.  While men  love to play it tough, in truth they are completely captivated by our sensual ways, the things we do, and steps we take to doll ourselves up.  There is a naturalness, a realness to the routine, that takes on a sexual form all its own.  In Caroline Grace|Boudoir‘s session, we follow along, as a voyeur, in the styling process.  I can easily imagine a man sitting back, watching his woman go through her beautification steps, taking her in,  joyfully exalting her being & her essence.
