I am beyond excited to say….Its Honeymoon Time!!  YAY!  As it turns out, we did not take our honeymoon immediately following our wedding.  Believe it or not, that was actually not our doing, mini-eek!  For some various reasons, The Tides needed to move our reservation if we were able to.

Fortunately Truly & I have flexibility in our work lives, so we were able to reschedule for a month later, aka, now!  The Tides was super accommodating  with our newly rescheduled travel plans & I am quite excited to say the least.  As it also turns out, our wedding was literally, the day before Hurricane Irene.  Its pretty much dumb luck that our honeymoon had to be rescheduled & then the hurricane, as I am pretty sure, had it been that we were to leave right after the wedding, well… that could have been baaad!  So I guess The Tides did us a nice accidental favor!  I have put together a nice little image gallery of The Tides.  I apologize up front for posting within the next week being spotty, but I am sure you understand!  However, I will most definitely be throwing in some fun real time posts & photos!  Happy Saturday everyone!

Being newly married myself, I have a total soft spot for anyone that is championing their love & happiness.  It warms my heart, makes me smile, while reminding me of exactly why we all search to find our special significant other.  Rhiannon, of Hey Gorgeous, & her husband are celebrating their very special first wedding anniversary.  In doing so, she’s taken to her blog to re-post their wedding pics with a sweet simple message to her husband, Andrew.  I find it not only adorable & endearing, but another sign that confirms to me how real & true love can really be.  It doesnt always have to be big splashy things for the entire world to see, it can be simply small declarations/professions of love, a sweetness that speaks volumes.  Head on over to Hey Gorgeous to check out her adorable wedding pics from one year ago.  Congrats Rhiannon & Andrew!

Orange is an amazing color that I have really come to embrace over the last few years.  I also find it to be an amazing wedding color and totally perfect for fall!  There are ways to use orange without it screaming fall foliage.  Gray is a fantastic color that really pairs well with everything from pale pastel colors, to bright vibrant strong colors such as orange.  I’ve put together a small collection of wedding details that really allow Orange & Gray to shine!

I’ve long been intrigued by weddings in other cultures, religions, worlds that are far apart from the good Ol’Usa.  As time goes on I hope to bring to you not only amazing photography from other cultural weddings, but go more in depth, gain insight & perspective from the bride & grooms themselves, possibly have the opportunity to attend a few along the way.
